The Learning Pattern Within Us All
We have a natural learning pattern within us that crosses cultures and borders. Khai Learning leads us to become who we are, and there is no end to our growth.
We begin with knowledge which leads to hope.
We act on our hope and find inspiration (KHAI)
- and this process creates new knowledge, greater hopes, new actions - and the cycle continues.
Explore the model, join our international discussion group, share your experiences, and become part of Khai Learning!

Knowledge
Khai Learning recognizes that we bring some knowledge to each learning moment. A child who learns to read already knows there are stories inside books, and a new parent holding a baby for the first time knows to be gentle. This knowledge leads to hope.
Hope
In Khai Learning discovery of hopes is a powerful tool that energizes the learner and keeps one focused on the goal. The child hopes to be able to read on his or her own, and the gentle parent hopes for a happy and healthy baby. An insightful teacher, coach or parent helps a person explore his or her hopes. This motivates a learner to act.
Action
Khai Learning is connected to doing something. The child learning to read opens a book and sounds out new words. The gentle parent feeds a baby when it cries and walks it back and forth across the room or finds a soothing rhythm. Action is an experience that leads to new understanding and inspiration.
Inspiration
Inspiration is the "aha moment." Aha is a sudden realization, insight, recognition, or comprehension. Inspiration leads to new knowledge which is accompanied by greater confidence and assurance, and the Khai Learning cycle continues.
